Ireydescent wins The Ike Open Classic

Ireydescent, owned by Brumbaugh Ranches, Aledo, Tex., claimed her first major win in January 2020, as champion of the Abilene Spectacular Open Futurity under Adan Banuelos. By the end of that year, the Dual Rey daughter had increased her earnings to $101,644. The 51-horse go-round was narrowed, with scores of 219.5 or higher, to a finals field of 14. Badboonarising LTE $318,279, owned by Plantation Farms, Denham Springs, La., and shown by Adan Banuelos, won the go-round with 223.5 points.

 

Ireydescent is out of the High Brow Cat daughter Desires Katrina LTE $128,812, dam of three earners of $145,196, and a full sister to Thundercat LTE $302,762, among 31 NCHA earners of $1,596,419 (including six with $100,000 or more) out of the Freckles Playboy daughter Desire Some Freckles LTE $188,990.
