Breeders Invitational in Full Swing

Elizabeth Quirk scored 222 points to win the Classic/Challenge Non-Pro Finals on Catillac Reys LTE $154,755, by Metallic Cat, while Jessica Pounds scored 219 points for the reserve champion title, riding Etch N Sketch LTE $47,930, by Kit Kat Sugar. Greg Coalson, NCHA Non-Pro earner of over $1.8 million, placed third with 218 points on Juana Bet LTE $46,995, by Bet Hesa Cat.

 

Bred by Michelle Cannon, 5-year-old Catillac Reys is a full brother, out of Tootsie Rey LTE $200,876, to Chrome Catillac LTE $100,193. Adan Banuelos, who showed Catillac Reys as reserve champion of the 2018 NCHA Derby, also showed the gelding as a finalist in this week’s Classic/Challenge Open Finals.

 

Elizabeth Quirk, the NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Fame earner of $905,333, won the 2017 Breeders Invitational Non-Pro Novice division on Holmeboy LTE $65,692, by Metallic Cat.
